RED HEADDRESS WITH HORNS 2015
MATERIALS: Cardboard, Felt Fabric, Gold Paint, Metal Chains, Hot Glue

These headdresses were made for an event in Philadelphia, PA named the “PEX Heartburn Ball” in 2015. I was now fully making my own flowers out of Felt Fabric. I decorated Chelo’s top hat to match my headdress and made his vest. Together we styled both looks. Later we wore these outfits again to a Red Party we hosted in Jersey City, NJ. These red headdresses with horns are reminiscent of the headdresses worn in Chile for La Fiesta De La Tirana. Specifically in what is called La Diablada Dance. The Diablada is a dance that depicts the struggle between good and evil.
